Ian Cornelius is a trainer, consultant, author, coach, academic and qualified Chartered Accountant. He is involved as a director, owner, and associate in a number of business ventures, which are detailed on the portfolio page.

Ian's specific areas of expertise are management accounting, financial management, commercial decision making, strategic and risk analysis. He has real, practical experience in setting up business ventures, including developing business plans, managing cash flow, and dealing with banks and other key stakeholders.

Ian's training and consultancy work is driven by the philosophy of combining real-word practical cases and examples with rigorous academic and scholarship underpinnings. His current areas of research interest are UK Building Societies and how their performance compares to other financial institutions, and commercialisation strategy in the public sector.

Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA), and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
